David was exposed to the different needs of individuals at a young age, as his youngest sister is diagnosed with Williams syndrome.
““As a family this impacted us all, leading us to meet other families with family members with varying degrees of disability. We worked as a support network for one another which opened my eyes and lead me to having a better insight to others experiences. My experiences have allowed me to support people in an understanding and respectful manner.”
David has also undertaken voluntary work with a local church supporting individuals with disabilities to a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France. David has worked his way through the ranks at CLBD, joining as a support worker, to registered manager and further moving on to his current position as wellbeing practitioner. David has also been supported to complete his NVQ 5 and qualification to become a Studio 3 instructor.
