Netta has worked supporting people with learning disabilities since the 1970’s, when she was employed as care assistant at a local hospital. This sparked a passion for change in terms of a more dignified respectful approach to be taken towards vulnerable people.
Netta became a part of this change working in the community at a residential service supporting people as they were leaving long stay institutions. This also involved an element of supporting/managing a community that were not deemed ready for such an influx of people that they were unsure of; it was a time of great change.
Netta has managed a number of services and has had a wide experience of supporting a diverse group of people. Netta, holds a number of qualifications including a BSC in Applied Psychology gained at the Tizard Centre.
Netta has been involved in creating a training programme for BILD on the subject of ‘Practice Leadership’ and has also delivered training for BILD on the subject. Netta has worked as a BILD consultant and as a PBS/Wellbeing practitioner prior to joining the team at CLBD as part of their Wellbeing team.
