Learning Disabilities

CLBD began providing high quality bespoke services for people with a learning disability since November 2013. We have refined and enhanced our approach and developed a real specialism in supporting this service group. We support service use to identify their own interests and ambitions. We look at each persons individual ability and support them to maximise their own potential. The main outcome for our service users is a sustainable and meaniful role in the community.

Our services are located in residential areas with a wealth of community facilities nearby; our service users can develop strong links with local amenities.

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans are in place for each service user and PBS will be used to engage service users to minimise challenging behaviour. Two staff members are currently undergoing a three year BSc in Learning Disability at The Tizard University of Kent.

All our services are registered with the Care Quality Commission as residential services. We offer services for people who do not need a hospital environment and offer support in the least restrictive setting.
